Bjornson
7:10 to 8:00PM
BJORNSON is the musical duo comprised or brother Kieran and Dane Bjornson. Kieran is a songwriter and musician based in Treaty One Territory who draws inspiration from artists like Pinegrove, MJ Lenderman and Adrienne Lenker. Kieran performs with various bands around Winnipeg (The Prairie Joggers, Earth Angel) and writes songs about love, introspection and living in uncertain times. Dane is a songwriter, producer and audio engineer living on Treaty One Territory who’s been releasing music since 2010. He’s shared the stage with acts such as Down with Webster and Said The Whale. Dane’s sound is heavily influenced by the theatrics of Marianas Trench and the production of The Band Camino and that will be on full display this summer as he launches his new solo project titled No Metro, with the release of his first single Showmance. Kieran and Dane and ecstatic to be back on the Icelandic Festival Stage in the town they have roots in every corner of.
Bean City Band
8:15 to 9:10PM
The Bean City Band is a good-time-fun-time-party-band-rock-band. This rotating roster of musicians in the Winnipeg music scene, blasts energetic covers of classics and deep cuts with raw energy and practiced musicianship. From the Beatles to Green day to Johnny Cash then back to the Beatles again, these fellas really do know how to get down. Keen observers may recognize these guys bare an uncanny resemblance to the Winnipeg band The Love Letters, but we can assure you this is just a coincidence.
The Lemons
9:30 to 10:25PM
The Lemons are a rock and roll band from Winnipeg who have been performing together since the 1990s. Playing a mix of original music and interesting cover songs, with four singers and five players the band has great versatility in their sound.
The band’s modern, rootsy original music features great melodies, lots of guitars, bass and drums as well as impressive harmonies. Cover songs include music from the likes of: The Beatles, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, the Tragically Hip, Split Enz, The Cars and many, many others.
The Lemons have released two records of original music, most recently “Waiting for a Train” in 2019, and are working on a third record for release in 2026.
The Lemons make music for the pure joy of the experience, and they love to share that joy with as many audiences as possible.
