In 2026 we celebrate the 57th annual Islendingdagurinn Art Show. Featuring works of local artists of Icelandic descent and artists who wish to celebrate Icelandic culture and heritage.
Awards will be made for oustanding works from various art forms: pottery, painting, ceramic, photography, carving, sculpture etc.

Art Show Judge - Leif Norman

Leif Norman has been an arts and cultural photographer in Winnipeg since 1999 and founded
the FLASH photographic Festival in 2014. He has taught graphic design at the university of
Winnipeg‘s continuing education department, photographed hundreds ofartworks in the
basement of the Winnipeg Art Gallery, competed on the national SLAM! poetry level for team,
Winnipeg, and occasionally dabbles with watercolor. It is hoped that these wide and ranging
experiences in the visual arts world will lend him some credence while closely observing this
years crop of art for the Icelandic Festival.
