Saga Presentations and Genealogy Workshop
This Icelandic Roots session is FREE and open to the public and our supporting members.
We will begin with a short presentation followed by a Genealogy Workshop featuring the Icelandic Roots database.
Genealogists and Icelandic Roots volunteers will be on hand at this informal session on Sunday.
Are you ready to embark on an extraordinary journey with your Icelandic Roots? Unlock more to your story and that of your ancestors like never before. Bring your personal device - tablet, laptop or phone to this session!
Then the Icelandic Roots team will guide you as you dive into our extensive database. Discover ancestral farms, uncover the sagas and how they connect to your story, track the ships and other family members, plus much more from the Emigration Team. With our unique mapping feature, you can trace their exact routes. Find your famous ancestors and discover unknown cousins through our relationship calculator.
To receive your personal access to the Icelandic Roots database for the entire weekend, pre-register here and submit the "Cousins Across the Ocean" form before July 27th. If you do not submit in time? No worries! You're still welcome to join us and will receive a generic access code but the access will be only for a few hours. (Privacy policies apply.)
We can't wait for you to uncover the stories that make up your family history and see you in Gimli!
