Performances by Sol James

Winnipeg-based Sol James (Heiða Forsyth) is a force to be reckoned with, with a voice to match. A unique take on roots/blues with a soulful flair, her music is joyful and honest, leaving audiences smiling, dancing, and celebrating the great stuff of life. Sol’s stage presence calls out to even the meekest of souls, breaking down walls and bringing the light in.

Creating opportunities for local up and coming artists, the first half of this performance will feature:

Jasmine Henry: jazz voice student studying at the University of of Manitoba.
Kael Sauerborn: singer/songwriter, studying at Grant MacEwan University.

As a special treat Sol James will be joined by:

Cathy Wood (clarinet) and Victoria Sparks (marimba) performing two of her works, arranged by composer Glenn Buhr.
