The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba invites you to submit your art works to the annual Fine Art Show held in Gimli, Manitoba on August 4, 5 and 6, 2018

This show features the works of artists of Icelandic descent and the work of other artists who wish to celebrate Icelandic culture and heritage. Awards will be made for outstanding works from various art forms, pottery, paintings, ceramics, photography, carvings and sculpture, etc.  

Noon - 5:00 PM on Saturday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Sunday, and Noon - 5:00 PM on Monday at George Johnson Middle School at 53-Third Avenue

2018 Art Show Judge

Sarah Collard is a favoured, chosen Canadian artist in mid-career, with a large body of two dimensional artwork and public art murals. She has painted 50 exterior murals in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec over the course of 50 years. Collard enjoyed the productivity birthed from her studios located on James Street North in Hamilton, Blinc Studios in Toronto, the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, a home based studio in Millgrove, Ontario, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Morris, Manitoba. For 31 years, Collard has exhibited at various galleries in Ontario and Manitoba. She is a graduate from the University of Waterloo (BFA), Nipissing University (BED) and Sheridan College (Computer Graphics). She draws, paints and teaches. Sarah Collard has been the recipient of various awards; The Murals of Winnipeg, Mural of the Year Award in 2009, 2010 and 2015, two Judges Choice Awards (Burlington Fine Arts Association) and Manitoba Arts Council Grant.
