Virtual Race Running Tips

  • Race participants are expected to follow the advice of their local public health authority
  • Do not run with anyone else unless they live in your household
  • If you are running with someone else from your household, run single file, allowing others to pass you and in a way that is safe for oncoming pedestrian, bicycle, and automobile traffic
  • Avoid high traffic areas. This year, there is no official race course with protective barricades, signage, or areas closed to traffic. The safest route is a route that you are very familiar with during a quiet time of the day.
  • Follow physical distancing practices while you are running or walking. Ensure that you can safely pass someone if needed, are avoiding traffic, and are running safely on the road.
  • Dress for the weather on the date you run.
  • Bring water and nutrition. Theses races are unassisted in the sense that we will not be offering water or nutrition at any time.
  • Carry a cell phone with you during your virtual race and tell someone the route you are running in case of an emergency
