Icelandic Festival Photo Contest


Enter a photo of your favourite festival event and you could be selected to win a First Prize of $100 or a Honourable Mention of a Gift Certificate for a Family Outdoor Session from Valhalla Studio (a $50.00 value)

Deadline for entries is September 7, 2007 Winners will be notified by September 30, 2007

You may enter one original digital photo in each of three categories
The Categories are:


Best Sporting Photo Events like ... Islendingadunk, Sandcastle Building, Beach Volleyball, Fris Nök, Road Races, Family Sports and the all new Isplat paintball.
Best Cultural Photo Events like ... Viking Village, Thingvellir Nyja Island, Cultural and Heritage Pavilion, Amma's Kitchen, and the Traditional Program.
Best Entertainment Photo Events like ... Rock the Dock, Children's entertainment, Music On The Rooftop, Saturday Night @ The Pier, Fireworks, Fine Arts Show, Sunday Afternoon Concert In The Park, Celebrity Concert, Folk Festival, Sunday Night Dance, Midway or the Parade.
Terms and Conditions: The submitted images must be the photographer's original work. The photographer also certifies that the images submitted have never been copyrighted, or if copyrighted that the photographer is the copyright owner.

All photos received may be used in advertising of The Icelandic Festival with credit given to the photographer. Icelandic Festival has the option, at its sole discretion to crop, edit, or otherwise alter the winning images for use in advertising. Copyright of the images will remain the property of the photographer.

It is the sole responsibility of the submitting photographer to obtain a written release from any recognizable person in a submitted photo.

All original untouched digital photos can be sent to Photo Contest
The Subject line of your email should read "Event by Photographer Name". Example "Fris Nok by John Doe".
